Preparing Pokémon…

After copying, open the Showdown Teambuilder, select the displayed Champions format and paste into Import/Export. Recommended sets include items, ability, nature, stat points and moves, and are individually validated for these rules. Pokémon without a recommendation are skipped; every interface language exports canonical English names. Filters select species; sets use recommended abilities. Check the complete team before battling.

How to use the generator

Choose 1–6 Pokémon and combine filters. Generate a new group, lock the ones you want to keep, or reroll an unlocked card. On mobile, open Filters and use Apply & generate; closing the drawer discards its edits.

How random selection works

Every matching species has the same chance. The generator chooses different National Pokédex species first, then one matching form per species. Different batches can repeat. Locks stay when they still match new filters.

Combining filters

Choose several generations or categories to include Pokémon matching any of them. Different filters must all match; types can match any or all of your selections. For example, try Generation 1 Water-type Pokémon with a base Speed of at least 80. The ability filter checks which abilities a form can have; it does not choose the ability in an exported set.

Frequently asked questions

Why did I get fewer than six Pokémon?

The count is limited by matching species, not the number of form entries. If only three species match, requesting six produces three. Zero matches keeps your previous results and asks you to adjust filters.

Are forms counted as separate species?

Forms have their own entries and filters, but share a National Pokédex species number. Each group contains only one form of any species. This tab preserves the exact entries, order and locks.

What do the special categories mean?

Regional includes species with regional forms, so their ordinary forms can also match. First-partner and powerhouse categories include entire evolutionary lines. The powerhouse group follows the fan category commonly called pseudo-legendary Pokémon. Mega Evolution and Gigantamax filters indicate eligibility; they do not generate the transformed forms.

Does stage 3 mean fully evolved?

No. Stage 1 includes non-evolving Pokémon, and some families end at stage 2. This filter follows the site’s recorded evolution stages.

Is the generated team legal for battle?

Published recommendations pass individual validation for the displayed Champions rules. A full team also needs to satisfy team rules, including unique items. Exports with fewer than six Pokémon are configuration fragments. Pokémon without recommendations are skipped.
