Their final evolution forms have a base stat total of exactly 600, making them comparable in battle strength to legendary Pokémon. However, due to their high evolution requirements and slow leveling, they often don't reach their true potential until the late game. The Japanese name for this designation is "大器晩成" (Taiki-Bansei), directly borrowed from the Chinese idiom meaning that things with great potential only fully manifest their power at crucial moments.
